Application text

Question

What is an application text, and what should in include?

Answer

What is an application text?

The application text and your CV forms the application you send the employer. The application text should be a presentation of yourself, your personality and motivation. This, together with a description of your skills and competence, should be sufficient to give the employer an impression of who you are and what you can do.

What should the application text include?

The application text should be unique for every job you apply for, to be able to answer all requirements the employer has listed in the job vacancy. This gives your the opportunity to describe your experience, skills and competence in a way that relates to the relevant position. You can also give a further description of the attachements to your CV, an why the information you have documented is relevant to the job you're applying for. The application text is your chance to convince the employer that you are the right person for the job.

Most recently used application text

When you apply for a new job you can copy the most recently used application text if you have applied for a job previously. In step one, click the button for "Paste most recently used application text" to copy it into the application you're working on.

This is a useful feature when updating an application. Read more about this here.

Template for application text

In your job seeker account you have the possibility of making a template for an application text. This is particularly useful when applying for jobs and not having to copy the text from somewhere else or having to write everything over again. You can do this in "My application text" in the menu to the left.

Can`t find where to fill in the application text?

If "Application Text" does not appear as a step in the application process (as it does the picture above), the employer has chosen to disable this for the position.

You apply as usual - without writing an application text.
